Having used this printer extensively for one year I have come to the conclusion that it is the best printer I have ever owned. Picture quality is superb; really, really good for a laser. This printer is large and heavy, but that seems to be related to it’s paper handling capabilities. The printer is totally quiet until you print, then it warms up instantly and prints very fast. Print quality is very consistent, every time. The printer is used for office documents and small runs of promotional literature and works flawlessly. When you use the HP 4005dn you get the feeling this printer can handle way more than your throwing at it; this printer has “depth”. There are cheaper, smaller units…but when you have a deadline and you need a bullet proof solution that does a great job, every time – this is it. The only draw back would be the price of the toner, which is a little high for volume printing.
