My husband and I ordered this File Cart to go with the desk and the box came with no hardware. We called Target to inform them and they told us they were going to reship another box to us with the hardware in it. In our disbelief the second box arrived but no hardware was in the box. We called Target again for the 3rd time and they told us to call the manufacturer and they were of no help. We will never ever order anything from the manufacturer again and Target customer service needs some help also.

I bought the mission file cart to go with a mission side table, bookshelf, and coffee table. It does not match the other three in look or in build quality. It’s even a different color. It was harder to assemble than the other pieces, especially the file drawer. For a printer table, I would recommend the sturdier side table instead.

    4. I am the worlds biggest procrastinator when it comes to putting together furniture! I bought this piece, along with the desk, in January and here it is April, and I am just now getting the job done. The table part of this product was fairly easy to put together and at this point my spirits were high. The file drawer on the other hand is a different story. None of the pieces are labeled, getting the two sides and the front to align long enough to put the screws was almost impossible and I did need to use a hammer to fishish off the screws. I liked to never figure out why my drawer was not sitting right, when I finally figured it out that I had it in on the wrong side. Overall, putting it together could have been made easier with written directions instead of just pictures, screws that actually screwed all the way in and pieces that are labled. The file cart is a little wobbly but seems to be sturdy enough to hold my printer…for the time being.

This was easy to put together. I did it with an over-eager 2-year-old. The instructions were understandable – line drawings with parts marked and a couple sentences saying what to do in each step. The parts themselves came marked so you just simply looked in the instruction sheet to see what A, B, C, etc were. Only complaint I have is that a couple of the predrilled holes didn’t line up perfectly (common for DIY kits). I just tightened screws slowly and if it sounded liked the wood might split I backed the screw out, realigned and screwed it back in. No problems. Everything is tight, sturdy and level. A worthwhile purchase — would do it again.
